We all are mindful about our skin. However, people do tend to get confused when it comes to choosing between clean beauty and natural beauty. The concept isn’t confusing and once you know the difference, you can decide on what to choose. Let’s get started:

What’s the Difference?

Clean beauty products are those that don’t have potentially harmful ingredients or chemicals added to them. Remember, these products can be natural or synthetic. On the other hand, natural beauty products the kind of clean beauty products that are made from 100% natural ingredients. These are also known as organic products.

How Do They Work?

The essence of clean makeup depends upon balance. Ingredients are mixed in a manner that the finished product becomes suitable for the customers targeted. For example, you might find clean beauty brands that focus on specific skin tones such as dry, oily, etc.

On the other hand, vegan or natural beauty products are specifically made from natural ingredients without any addition of chemicals. However, one point to note here is that these products do have the chance of reaction since they don’t have additions to balance natural effects.

But not to worry as brands launch products after careful testing as well as provide details on how to use them. Still, one should remain on the safe side and should consult his/her dermatologist just in case.

Organic

Organic beauty products are made from organic farming ingredients. There’s no fertiliser chemical or genetic modifications used in farming techniques. Some brands label their products organic since it’s costly to get products organically certified. You can check the authenticity of such products by reading the ingredients. Real organic products include only 70-95% organic ingredients. The remaining are preservatives added to make the products sustainable.

Sustainable

Products that are ethically sourced are known as sustainable beauty products. These can be clean or natural beauty products sourced in a way that doesn’t harm the environment. You can identify these by looking for labels such as biodegradable, recyclable, etc.
